Custom Radiator for Gympie Excavator

Size does matter, especially when it comes to your radiator! We have had a lot of customers tell us that their heavy machinery can’t handle a full day’s work without overheating, especially in the warmer months.

To solve this problem, here at Nambour Radiator Works we can custom build a bigger and better radiator to whatever size will fit in the machine.

One custom radiator we have built was for a 13.5 tonne excavator from Gympie that had been overheating since new. The size of the original radiator just couldn’t handle a full day’s work and the owner was having to turn off the machine to allow it to cool down. We knew downtime for this machine was costing our customer money, so here at Nambour Radiator Works we offered a solution.

We built the biggest custom radiator that would fit into the machine! The original radiator was a plastic alloy radiator, so we upgraded it to a copper brass radiator and then tripled the size of the radiator. We remounted the radiator back into the machine & adjusted where the condenser and oil cooler were placed in the machine to make room for the bigger custom radiator. Look at the size difference of the original radiator compared to the radiator we built!

Our customer from Gympie has reported back to us that his excavator is now running cooler than it has ever done, which means less down time for his earthmoving company and the driver can now even have the air-conditioning on which he couldn’t do before the new custom radiator!
